The moon you can hold
Linglong: porcelain the light passes through
Late Ming potters carved hundreds of grain-sized apertures into raw clay, flooded them with glaze, and fired the piece above 1,280 °C until every hole turned to glass. 玲瓏 means exquisitely transparent.
Hold a Linglong cup up to a lamp — or to the moon — and the wall of it glows like rice paper. It is the most literal way we know to put a full moon in someone's hands.

Brew them all the same way: 8 g of leaf in a 150 ml gaiwan, water at a full 100 °C, first infusion 10 seconds, then add 5 seconds each pour. A mooncake is worth five infusions.
