FAQ
Q: How does the rotating strainer work?
A: The strainer sits suspended inside the teapot, resting on two small support points on the inner wall that fit into two corresponding notches on the strainer. The teapot rotates around the strainer — when you turn the pot, the strainer stays still. This means you can pour and stop the infusion simply by rotating the teapot body, without lifting or removing any separate part.
A few things to keep in mind: avoid rotating the pot too forcefully or at an extreme angle, as the strainer is held in place by resting contact rather than a fixed connection — excessive movement may cause it to dislodge. When placing the strainer in or taking it out for cleaning, handle it gently to protect the ceramic support points on the inner wall from chipping.
Q: What teas work best in this set?
A: Oolong, white tea, green tea, and light pu-erh. The 170ml capacity is designed for
gongfu-style brewing — multiple short steeps of 15–45 seconds. For western-style single
steeps, use it with white or green teas at 80–85°C.
Q: Can I brew herbal or fruit teas in this set?
A: Yes, though we recommend checking that the pieces are fully dried between uses if
switching between herbal and traditional teas, as strong aromas can linger in porcelain.
Q: Is the glass pot heat-resistant?
A: Yes. The teapot is made from high-grade borosilicate glass, which is safe for direct
pouring of boiling water (100°C / 212°F).
Q: Does this come ready to gift?
A: Yes. The set comes with a structured travel carry case that doubles as packaging.
No additional gift wrapping is required. All pieces nest securely inside.
Q: How many people can this serve?
A: The set includes one 170ml teapot, two 40ml guest cups, and one 70ml host cup —
designed for 1–2 people sharing a tea session, or one person brewing multiple steeps.
Q: How to pack after use?
